  1. Very interesting plan. I will am going to pose some questions to possibly help with part 3 of assignment 4. These are just wonderings as I read your plan.

Once you find the data that may or may not show gaps in students achievement from mobile students vs nonmobile, what is your plan for improving student achievement? Your plan notes how you are going to research mobility and look at data but how is this data going to be utilized throughout the year to improve student achievement? How will you measure if it is working?

I also was wondering who was your comparison group? It is non mobile students but are they also from your campus, same grade level, same SES, same ethnicity? Maybe you could narrow the comparison group down to these factors so that other variables do not not skew your data.

What specific activity do you plan to start with to meet your first objective? I think this is your main objective and the other two you listed are ways of gathering data to determine some activities and solutions.

I look forward to reading about some findings and solutions that you discover in your research

  2. Great plan and much needed research on this topic! We definitely need to help these students succeed. The one thing you might consider adding is interviewing other schools in your area as to what interventions and data they use. Good Luck in the upcoming school year.
